Emily Kemmerer is a law clerk with the Law Office of Jeffrey Campolongo and a third-year law student at Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law. She joined the firm in May 2025 after gaining valuable experience as a legal intern with the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General’s Fair Labor Section and the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office in the Labor Crimes Enforcement Unit. Emily came to law school to pursue a career in labor and employment law and is passionate about protecting and advocating for the rights of workers.
Emily has the distinct honor of serving on the Villanova Law Review, Vol. 71 Editorial Board, where she is a staff writer and online editor. She has also published two articles in the nation’s oldest daily legal journal, The Legal Intelligencer:
At Villanova, Emily is an active member of the Labor and Employment Law Society and the Pro Bono Society. She has also participated in several impactful service initiatives, including the Face to Face Birth Certificate Clinic and the Labor-Based Deferred Action Clinic hosted by Justice at Work.
Before law school, Emily earned a dual-degree B.A. in English and M.A. in Publishing from Rosemont College, where she was President & Managing Editor of the Thorn Literary & Art Magazine, and was selected as the undergraduate commencement speaker for the Class of 2018. She spent several years working in both private practice and emergency/specialty veterinary medicine, where she was consistently praised for her compassion, professionalism, and dedication to her human and non-human clients.
In her free time, Emily enjoys hiking and mountain climbing with her miniature dachshund, Alfie. She’s also an avid reader of historical fiction—especially stories involving ghosts and witches—and enjoys crocheting playful creations like amigurumi and quirky hats, which she lovingly shares with her family.
